ANIMAL TRANSPORT Have you ever wished your backseat driver could only say “meow” or “woof”? Animal transporters help our animals get to a foster home or rescue organization. Signing up for this position means you agree to be on the on-call list. When a request comes up, you can say yes or no depending on whether or not you can accommodate the request on any given day. If you can also volunteer as an emergency medical transport you will be called in life threatening situations to pick up sick or injured animals and take them to the vet clinic. Let us know if you can be a Medical Transport. Things to think about before applying to become an animal transport: --You must have a valid driver’s license. --Willingness to transport animals in your vehicle. --If becoming a medical transport you need some experience and/or training with handling sick and injured animals and are willing to accept the responsibilities of this task.
Come meet and work with us, we would love to have your help.. Every hour of your time daily, weekly or when you can fit it in, helps the animals and the organization greatly. Just that one hour per day of your time would help the KCHO volunteers and you to do other activities like rescues & recoveries, fundraising and grant applications. This is volunteering, but you get paid with kisses and wags and the satisfaction knowing you are helping those who need our help.. For more information, contact KCHO at 830-583-0660 or email email@example.com.
