ANIMAL CARE AND OFFICE HELPERS (Great Opportunity for High School Students and Families) We need help so come by our facility after school, work or whenever we need people to help play, walk, feed and clean. We are always looking for extra hands to help. If your child is 14 years or younger, we request that you volunteer as a family to ensure their safety with the animals.
Walking dogs (required on every shift)
Feeding dogs & cats (may require medications)
Bathing dogs & cats (this is not performed on every shift but as directed by KCHO staff)
Petting puppies & cats (love and socialization helps these animals prepare for their permanent homes)
Socializing and playing with dogs & cats
Cleaning kennels (if you see an accident in a kennel, cleanup is required)
Doing bedding laundry (as directed by KCHO staff)
Come meet and work with us, we would love to have your help.. Every hour of your time daily, weekly or when you can fit it in, helps the animals and the organization greatly. Just that one hour per day of your time would help the KCHO volunteers and you to do other activities like rescues & recoveries, fundraising and grant applications. This is volunteering, but you get paid with kisses and wags and the satisfaction knowing you are helping those who need our help.. For more information, contact KCHO at 830-583-0660 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
